Partner with Parks
An ERA AECOM-led team re-qualified for a five-year indefinite quantity contract to provide strategic business advice to the
National Park Service (NPS) at some 360 parks across the US. Our services will include detailed evaluation of existing and potential market conditions and financial feasibility, personal and real property appraisals, condition assessments for buildings and facilities, and masterplanning. Currently, the ERA AECOM team is assisting the NPS at Shenandoah National Park in Virginia. This work includes evaluating historic and potential future trends in visitation, lodging, food and beverage, retail, and associated operations, leading to the development of potential scenarios to improve or expand facilities and services at the park. Excellence in LA
The Los Angeles chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) has recognized the LAPD Police Administration Building team, including AECOM Design, for excellence in design and implementation of a very
significant civic center for Southern California. Each year, the AIA/LA president selects one team and project as an exemplar of design and collaboration. This honor is significant for AECOM's team, as the Los Angeles chapter of the AIA is the second largest in the US, representing one of the most prolific and internationally renowned constituencies. Previous winners of the Building Team of the Year award include Richard Meier (J. Paul Getty Museum), Frank O. Gehry Partners (Disney Concert Hall), Renzo Piano (Broad Contemporary Art Museum), Rafael Moneo (Our Lady of the Angels Cathedral), and Morphosis for the Cal Trans Building, which is adjacent to the new LAPD building. Responsible Resort
An article in The Philippines Daily Inquirer calls Anvaya Cove, an EDAW AECOM resort project located near Subic Bay, Manila, "one of the world's greenest" resorts. Anvaya Cove recently received a Finalist award in the Green/Sustainable Project category from Hospitality Design (HD), the premier trade publication for the hospitality design industry. Ayala Land, the Philippines' largest real estate developer, had a vision for a sustainable, family-oriented community against a mountain backdrop on the South China Sea. EDAW AECOM provided a comprehensive geographic information systems analysis, an extensive regional and local market analysis, an ecological assessment, a social impact analysis, and density and yield studies. This groundwork informed an open space plan and design guidelines. The result was nearly two thirds of the site remaining undeveloped, protecting and expanding natural habitat for endangered species, along with a range of sustainable design interventions.
